Looking for a super simple idea for a scrunchie holder? This DIY scrunchie holder works great!
Last week I pulled open a drawer in my daughters’ bathroom searching for shampoo – I didn’t find any but I did find a jumbled mess of Band-Aids, tissues, toothpaste, lotions, contact lenses, antiseptics, cosmetic bags, and lots and lots and lots of hair bands and scrunchies:
This is about the easiest organization project ever – I started with a few of these small 2″ x 12″ mailing tubes (you can get them {here} in various colors – I ordered some paper towels and TP that I’d need anyway to get up to the $35 threshold for free shipping):
tuck the extra fabric on each end into the tube, and then put the plastic end caps back on to hold the fabric in place. Done!
So one problem in that messy drawer is solved – now on to organizing the rest…
Hope you all enjoy your weekend!

cute! my 4 year old is also obsessed with headbands….the jumbled nest on her dresser certainly isn’t working for me. Must organize. Thanks for sharing, liz

So cute and neat. I would have thought of the mailers — but certainly would not have thought to cover with fabric.
Organization at your house is not only neat and clean but obviously very attractive. Oh my, I need to get busy looking at my closets and drawers.

What a great idea Kris, my 2 x 12 year old girls’ bathroom draws look exactly the same! I have put different sized storage containers in the draws which sort of helps and looks great for about a week, then its all mixed up again, mine don’t take after me either!! Im off to ikea today to buy some more organisation containers, cupboards, shelves etc… for my laundry! Im excited!! haha

I actually hadn’t thought of IKEA for organizational stuff but I bet there are some great finds there. You’ll have to blog about what you come home with!

Awesome idea! Where is your gray fabric from and the blue and white ikat-looking one? LOVE! Thanks.
Kris @ Driven by Décor says
Thanks for the comment – the blue and white ikat print is from Hobby Lobby. I’m not sure about the gray one – it was one that I had in my bin of fabric scraps!

Depending on how tall the container is, it can be used for storing combs in.

That’s a great idea Judy!

I mean it works alright but if you want to get a scrunchie or a hair tie and it’s in the middle than you have to take everything that is in the way of the scrunchie and than get the scrunchie out than you have to put everything back on it.
