Yesterday I headed up to New Haven for a quick trip to IKEA to return a chair that was nearing the 90 day deadline. Who am I kidding? Quick?? At IKEA?? There’s always something there that sucks me right in. Usually it’s that treasure trove of a clearance room that’s calling my name but yesterday it was their new NIPPRIG collection. Have you guys seen it? It’s a collaboration between IKEA and local producers in Vietnam and Indonesia and includes products made with renewable materials like bamboo, rattan, seagrass and water hyacinth.
The textures of the NIPPRIG pieces are beautiful! For starters, check out these NIPPRIG chairs. Gorgeous shape, great colors, and easy to store since they’re stackable.
And don’t they look beautiful in this space?:
This shapely NIPPRIG side table is fabulous:
And check out this dreamy chaise (with a LAPPLJUNG RUTA pillow cover):
There’s also a cute woven sofa and bench in the collection:
And small woven rugs for under $15:
A few other favorites from the collection are this room divider:
and these placemats:
If I had a covered porch or sunroom I would have gone back with a big ole U-Haul to pack full of pieces from this collection. But since I don’t, I settled for two of these wall-mounted coat racks with hooks (love them!), which I mounted on the wall in our foyer. Since we have no closet, they’re the perfect place for guests to hang their coats as they come in the door:
All three of the colors they’re made in are beautiful!
So what do you all think – are you as smitten as I am??
