Looking for the perfect baker’s rack along with some baker’s rack decorating ideas? I’m sharing both in this post!
There’s an awkward little nook in the eat-in area of our kitchen and I think a baker’s rack would be the perfect thing for it! We’re short on cabinet space so a baker’s rack would be great for storing dinnerware and other kitchen accessories that I don’t use daily such as vases, pitchers, and my “fancy” set of plates. And from a design perspective, that little nook could use something tall to balance out the tall cabinetry on the other side of our kitchen. I’ve done a lot of searching am am sharing what I think are the best baker’s racks for our home (affiliate links included in post – full disclosure statement available {here}).
First off, my favorite industrial baker’s rack – I totally love Restoration Hardware’s Circa 1900 Baker’s Rack Tower – it’s the perfect mix of wood and iron for a look that’s industrial without being stark. And the size just happens to be perfect for my space!
Update! I ended up choosing the Restoration Hardware baker’s rack after finding it for a steal at the outlet!

Since that time, I found an almost identical rolling baker’s rack {here} that costs a lot less – definitely the route to go it you don’t have a lucky outlet find like I did! I’ve really loved having it as storage for extra dinnerware and for those entertaining essentials that don’t get a lot of use. Plus it’s near our patio door so I can store lanterns, pillows, tablecloths and other outdoor essentials on it that I grab on my way outside. I added two woven baskets that are great for the not-so-pretty stuff like Hope’s leash and collar, sunscreen, etc.
I always get questions about whether the things on my baker’s rack collect dust and if that drives me crazy – the answer is yes and no. Yes, they definitely do collect dust but no it doesn’t drive me crazy because the rack is mostly filled with vases and serving pieces that I don’t use all that often and that would need a quick wash even if I was pulling them out of the back of a cabinet instead of off the shelf of my baker’s rack.
If you have a baker’s rack, what kind of things do you use it for?!
