Design & Win Your Dream Bed!

Unfortunately, the Matouk Design & Win Your Dream Bed Giveaway is now over but you can still visit Matouk and design your own bed using their fun online design tool!

For many of us, our bedrooms are among the most neglected, undecorated spaces in our homes. And if you saw my bedroom, it wouldn’t take you long to figure out that “many of us” includes me. Cloud blue faux finish walls, missing pillow shams (I stole them for our guest room), and a rug that’s begging to be replaced are a few of the highlights of this oh-so-heinous space that hasn’t been touched since we moved in. But there are two things about our bedroom that have made it livable while it’s awaiting its big makeover – it houses my all-time favorite chair and we have luxurious sheets on our bed that I look forward to snuggling into each night.

If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you know that I don’t decorate with a lot of  high-end items, but I do invest in quality if it’s something that I’m expecting to be a “forever” piece (like my dining room table) or if it’s something that I’m going to use for years on a daily basis. Our bed sheets fall into that last category and after splurging on luxurious linens for the first time several years ago, I’ll never go back – they are a little luxury that is worth every penny! So I couldn’t be more excited to partner up with Matouk, a luxury linen company committed to designing and manufacturing the world’s best-made and best-loved linens, to offer you the chance to win an entire bed full of their amazing linens that you have selected, including 2 Euro Shams, 2 King or Standard Shams, 2 Standard or King Cases, 1 Boudoir Sham, 1 King or Queen Fitted Sheet, 1, King or Queen Flat Sheet, 1 King or Queen Coverlet, 1 King or Queen Duvet Cover! We’re talking hundreds of dollars of luxury bed linens!

Before sharing the details on designing and entering to win your own dream bed, I’d love to share a few of my favorite Matouk styles – with over 50 different bedding styles and tons of color options, they truly have something for everyone. If you’re a lover of classic, hotel-like bedding, you’ll love their Gordian Knot collection:

If you’re looking for something a little more edgy, the anchor chain embroidery of their Havana collection in black is amazing:

And if you love bedding with colorful patterns, Matouk has several to choose from and when different styles and patterns are mixed and matched, it can look incredible:

Sometimes mixing and matching bedding styles is hard to do online but Matouk has made it easy with their UMatouk online tool. It helps you visualize how the different styles and colors will come together, helping you create a cohesive dream bed that is uniquely you. After playing around with UMatouk myself, I couldn’t decide whether to go with neutrals or blues for our bedroom makeover so I created two dream bed options – a hotel-like neutral dream bed in silver:

My Matouk Bed

Classic Chain sheets & cases, Allegro duvet, Ava shams & coverlet, Marlowe euro shams, & Mirasol boudoir sham

and a colorful patterned mix of several Matouk styles in shades of blue:

My Paradiso Bed

Meridian sheets and cases, Pearl coverlet, Madison Euro, & Paradiso duvet, shames, and boudoir

So are you ready to design your own dream bed and enter to win a bed full of the luxurious linens you chose? Here’s how:

It’s fun, easy, and kind of addicting to play around with the UMatouk tool. Here are the details – after heading over to Matouk’s site {here}, click the “Start Your Design” box at the bottom of the page and you’ll be taken to UMatouk. To start, scroll down and choose one of the nine design options as your starting point (I chose Arco/Marlowe). After selecting whether you’re designing a queen or king bed, it’s time to make some choices! You’ll select your sheets and pillowcases first by scrolling through to find the style you like best and then choosing the color. Also be sure to select your case preference (standard or king) in the upper right corner:

From there, keep going down the list by clicking the “+” signs and select your duvet, standard/king shams, coverlet, euro shams, and boudoir sham. At any time, you can can click the “zoom in” button and then use the left and right arrows to toggle through different views of your bed, including a close-up of the pillows you’ve selected:
