I’m looking kinda Shrek-like this morning. Not because of my crazy unbrushed hair or scary glasses that I wear until I get around to putting my contacts in (although those things do add to the ogre look…). But because I’ve got this green paint all over my hands and arms:
When I paint with my normal muted neutrals it’s not so obvious when I’ve got paint under my nails and in that spot that it always seem to collect by my elbow. But this bright green, there’s nothing subtle about it. I’m using it to paint a wall in my girls’ craft room, where I decided to go with a green and blue color combo. I finished up the last coat this morning – it was an easy paint job considering that I am only painting one wall and that I had a fabulous assistant:
What can I say – I train ’em young!
The job for today is to FINALLY get the boxes and boxes of craft supplies put away in the newly painted craft room. So far the girls are really happy with how the room is coming together. They love to craft so I want it to be a fun space that fuels their creativity.
There is a landing area outside of the craft room that’s going to need a little help too. It has a built-in bookcase and a loveseat – these pillows that I found a few days ago would look perfect on it. They were a bit over my budget though. Any chance that one of you knows the fabric source?
I’m off to shower off my ogre green and start working with my girls to put away the craft supplies. I’ll share some pics of the newly painted space with you tomorrow!
