As I was searching through my digital photos over the weekend, I came across some pictures from our recent visit to Wilmington, N.C. that I had taken to share with you but then promptly forgot about. They are of this shabby chic coffee table that is a clever little DIY project:
At first glance it looks like a standard glass top display table,
but if you look a little closer, you’ll notice that the coffee table top is an old window frame and the legs are reclaimed balusters:
I wish I could take credit for this DIY but my mom found the table at a local antiques/consignment store. Isn’t it creative, chippy paint perfection? I love that the glass top lifts off so that you can change up the table display with the seasons:
It looks like a fairly simple DIY so it’s going on my to-do-someday list – my head is spinning with all of the fun things that you could display in it (kids artwork, photos, holiday decor….).
I hope that your week is off to a good start – with only three weeks left before my girls go back to school, I’m feeling like I need to squeeze every last drop out of summer before it ends!
