Happy Saturday friends! Just popping in for a quick post to share a few extra pictures from my Christmas house tour and fill you in on my sources. I also wanted to let you guys know that you made my birthday extra special this year. I turned 25 again on Wednesday and so many of you left the most wonderful comments about the blog on my favorite things for the home giveaway that I posted that day. My blog is my baby so that seriously made my day. You all are a sweet group!
Ok, back to decorating. I had plans for doing some more holiday decorating this week but adding some greenery and berries to my kitchen nesting herb crates is pretty much all I have to show for myself:
Even though only a few rooms in my house are decorated, I’m feeling like it’s enough and I’m calling it D. O. N. E. done! So let’s revisit a few of the little pretties from the rooms that did get all dolled up so I can share the sources that your inquiring minds want to know about (post includes affiliate links – see my full disclosure statement {here}). Staring off with the dining room…
The glass vases holding the greenery and berries are Juliska Berry & Thread Hurricanes that I got at their most recent warehouse sale. I didn’t know much about Juliska before moving to CT but now that I’m within an easy drive of their warehouse sale I’m slightly addicted (the plates that make up my dining room plate wall are from Juliska too!).
My dining room chandelier isn’t anything new but I had a few people ask about it – I got it at the Ballard Outlet but it’s still a current online item – it’s called the Laurenza Chandelier:
The decorative horse that made up my dining table centerpiece isn’t new either – he’s been hanging out on my living room side table for a few months after finding him at HomeGoods:
For my place settings, the fabric for my napkins was from a local fabric store (Banksville Fabrics), the ribbon is from the Container Store, and the horseshoes were {these cast iron pony shoes from Amazon} that I spray painted gold. They came in a pack of 20 so don’t be shocked if some kind of horseshoe craft shows up on the blog in 2015 using the other 14…
Moving on to the living room…
These gold tapered candles on my mantel were a thrift store find not long before I started my holiday decorating – there are six of them of varying heights and I love their skinny stems. The stockings are from last year’s Country Living fair – I added the ribbon and wood monograms from Michaels:
My couch pillows didn’t make the house tour picture cut but I got one new one this season – it’s Pottery Barn’s Jasper pillow cover – I love the gray fur trim!
My square linen pillows and the lumbar pillows that I tied up with ribbon are all from Barn & Willow:
Probably my most asked question was about the wrapping paper on the bottom package – it the Antlers Gift Wrap from the Container Store:
Someone also asked about my elephant – he’s another HomeGoods find – that store fuels my animal obsession….
I forgot to add a new pic of my Christmas card tree to my holiday tour post, but here it is looking a little fuller and with some ball ornaments added to it. You can see the details of this simple DIY {here}.
I think that covers all of the questions you had about sources – if there’s anything else you want to know, shoot me an email or leave your question in the comments and I’ll get back to you.
Have a great weekend everyone – see you on Monday!
Kris, I love “sources posts”! You have so many beautiful pieces and I love the horseshoe idea. Have a nice weekend!
Shelley
Thanks Shelley – I enjoyed putting our table together this year since I’ve always had a love for all things horse!
Your home is stunning Kris. I love that gift wrapped package.
Thank you so much Lauren – wrapping packages is something I love about the holiday season!
Beautiful, Kris! I love all the plaids and tartans. And a belated happy birthday to you!! I’m catching up from unpacking our newest container.
Thanks for the birthday wishes Loi! Can’t wait to see all the new goodies going into your shop!
I love those hurricanes but especially love how you arranged those greens there! I too have an elephant from HG but mine is blackish brown. Your pillows are beautiful too, got mine from PB and H&M 🙂
Thanks Vel – I need to start shopping H&M more – it’s not a place I think about looking often but I’ve seen so many bloggers get great deals there!
Hi Kris, Thanks for sharing. Just discovered Rascal Flatts, Ohio boys. Are you a fan? Love their rendition of “I’ll be home for Christmas”.
I don’t know much about Rascal Flatts but I’m thinking that I’ve gotta go check out that song now to see if our twin decorating taste also applies to music 🙂
So cute!
Thanks Taylor!
your living room is beautiful–do you have a source for your sofa and awesome chairs???
Thank you
dee
Sure Dee – the chairs are made by a company called Lee Industries and are carried in lots of shops across the US. If you go on Lee Industries’ website, you will probably be able to find a shop near you. The sofa is actually from IKEA – we needed a long one so we converted their sofa/chaise into a long sofa. You can find the post with more information about it here: https://www.drivenbydecor.com/2014/01/how-we-supersized-our-ikea-ektorp-sofa.html
Thanks for reading!
Kris,
Your blog is my favorite. I love the simplicity and neutrals, balance and scale of your decorating. I have seen chairs like yours at Paysage (a favorite store of mine here in the Midwest) and admired them. I was wondering if the prints in your dining (it’s gorgeous for Christmas) were from Arhaus?
Have a very Merry Christmas,
Carol
OK Carol, that’s so so crazy that you mention Paysage because guess where my chairs came from? Paysage. I got them at their Wilmington, NC store a few years ago during their end of the year sale when I was in NC visiting my parents. They swivel and are so, so comfy. I haven’t ever been to their OH store but would love to some day. And yes, the prints are from Arhaus. I got them a few years ago when they were being discontinued but they recently started selling them again. Sounds like we have very, very similar taste!
Hi Kris, your home is beautiful! I’m curious about the light fixture that appears in the last photo of this post. It looks like maybe a foyer or hallway. Can you tell me anything about it?
Thanks,
Melissa
You’ve got a sharp eye Melissa! Sure, that light is from Shades of Light – you can see more pictures of it and find a link for it in this post: https://www.drivenbydecor.com/2013/09/our-new-light-my-love-for-quatrefoil.html
It’s more than I’ve spent on any of my other light fixtures but so worth it – you see it right when you come in our home and when you’re in our dining and living rooms – I love it!
Thank you very much for sharing the additional pictures from your beautiful home. I love all of the details you have shared. I am really loving all the animals you have arranged around your home, especially the elephant. 🙂 I am happy to hear you had a lovely birthday! Have a great week!
Thanks so much Dagmara! Hope you had a great weekend!
This looks like a home fit for a wub and a place I need to visit! Beautiful of course!! 🙂
