I’ve definitely had too much of winter at this point (you too?) so it’s no surprise that I’m finding myself drawn to these gorgeous spaces with colorful flowering branches. Can you imagine how much less life these rooms would have without them?
And I love that even the most inexperienced of decorators can throw a few flowering branches into a vase (which can be as simple as a glass wine jug) and turn a ho-hum space into something stunning. If you’re not sure where to look for flowering branches, I’ve had luck at florists and smaller, high-end grocery stores. Also, they have some beautiful ones at Terrain that are sold both in their stores and online {here} (affiliate link).
Once I’m done refinishing my round end table (more on that to come..), I can’t wait to put this inspiration into action!
Have a good one (and stay warm),
i would give anything to see flowering branches right now!
Ditto!!
Pretty! I almost went for faux at Hobby Lobby the other day! 🙂
I have yet to find good looking faux ones but I haven’t looked at Hobby Lobby – were they good looking?
Yes, they are so beautiful and laid-back plus they add much added visual height to any vignette! Can’t wait to see your table!
Thanks Vel – it’s slow going stripping furniture inside so it’s taking a while but hopefully it will turn out well.
I always have a large vase full of something on the entryway table all year long.
Flowering branches in spring, or just plain bare branches or evergreens in winter.
I like the dramatic height it gives to the room.
You’re so right about how the dramatic height makes such a difference! Your entry sounds gorgeous!
I love all these images! Completely agree. These branches are almost an architectural element and add so much to the space!

They sure do – thanks for stopping by Charlotte!
Such a great statement!! Swooning over those spaces!
They’re pretty drool-worthy aren’t they?!
I love to see Joanna Gaines on HGTV’s Fixer Upper throw together her flower bouquets. She uses stems or blosooms loosely arranged in all kinds of “farm house” containers. They are light and airy and so pretty.
I couldn’t agree more Connie – she’s the master of impromptu arrangements!
Beautiful! These totally make me think of spring (which is hard to do on a day when it is -20).
It is really, really hard to envision spring will be here soon this week isn’t it. I so can’t deal with this weather anymore!
I love that picture from Jeffery Allan Marks…its one of my fave…
Agreed! How I would love to have a foyer large enough for a beautiful round table like that!
I’M CLEANING UP ALL THE DEAD BLOSSOMS IN MY FOYER AND DINING ROOM FROM A GREAT DEAL ON BRANCHES THAT A LADY GAVE ME AT THE FLOWER MARKET A COUPLE WEEKS AGO…TOTALLY WORTH IT 🙂
