Kicking back with a cup of coffee and a few design magazines and home catalogs is one of my favorite guilty pleasures. There are some catalogs that I whip through in under a minute and others that I devour page by page, picking up all sorts of decorating ideas from the design and styling of the pictured rooms. Three catalogs that are always full of interesting decorating ideas and new products are Pottery Barn Teen, Restoration Hardware Baby & Child, and Land of Nod. I definitely get ideas for my girls’ rooms but also for the other rooms in my home, as all three catalogs have great accessories and lighting. I thought I’d share a few of my faves that I dogeared in my most recent pile of catalogs (post includes affiliate links):
Starting with mirrors (because I am a card-carrying mirror addict), I love the faceted edges of this RH Baby & Child Jewel Mirror
and could find so many places to use these RH Baby & Child Mini Distressed Wall Mirrors (after replacing the soft pink ribbon with something a bit more grown-up 🙂
and this fabulous Victorian Birdcage that I would love to have for our family room or office bookcase:
Some fantastic pieces of art include RH Baby & Child’s Vintage Nest Egg Art
and Vintage Chandelier Sketches:
If you like art with more color, PB Teen’s Petal Canvas Art
and Sunshine & Saltwater Watercolor Art are great choices.
If you’re into the Industrial look, you definitely need to check out RH Baby & Child’s catalog because you’ll find neat goodies such as this Industrial Hamper & Liner,
Some lighting fixtures that caught my eye are RH Baby & Child’s Etienne Chandelier that has a beautiful distressed aged white finish with rubbed edges. It would be so pretty over a small kitchen table:
I’ve long been a sucker for beaded chandeliers so it’s no surprise that I love this Dauphine Pendant that rocks a cool bottom tassel:
I’m also loving Land of Nod’s Grey Double Pendant (update: no longer available):
and Isosceles Table Lamp (update: no longer available):
PB Teen’s Peyton Wallpaper would be perfect for a small powder room or an accent wall. It’s a one time placement decal that you put up like wallpaper (it comes in a roll) and then can take off without damaging the wall. Perfect if you’re a frequent redecorator or a renter!
I hope you found an accessory or two that you also love! I’m off to go house hunting in Connecticut this weekend so check back in on the blog – I’ll try to get some pictures posted so that I can get your opinions to help in narrowing down our house choices. Wish me luck!
