It’s time to kick your dated ceiling fans to the curb 🙌🏻. Choosing one of these ten bedroom ceiling fans will add some serious style to your space!
Our house was filled with ceiling fans when we bought it. NINE of them to be exact! I removed one of them that was in a bizarre location in our kitchen, swapped out two for pendants/chandeliers, and replaced the other six with more updated styles.
There are some seriously ugly ceiling fans out there, but stylish ones do exist if you search hard enough! Today I’m sharing the best bedroom ceiling fans for getting the air flow you need without sacrificing style. (post includes commissionable links; for more information, see my full disclosure statement {here})
Most of my favorite ceiling fans come in multiple finish options, and many are available with or without lights. I’ll share all the details on each one…

1. Minka Aire Roto 52″ Ceiling Fan
For a bedroom ceiling fan that’s sleek and simple in design, consider the Minka Aire Roto ceiling fan that you can find {HERE} and {HERE}. The white Minka Roto fan is perfect if you’re looking for one that unobtrusively blends into the ceiling, but there are four other color options too:

It’s also one of the most budget-friendly fans on the list, which is a plus. I bought this fan in white for our family room and have been really happy with it – you can see how seamlessly it blends into the space:

See my post on how to decorate a bookshelf for all other sources for our family room.
2. Hunter Hepburn Ceiling Fan
Stylish bedroom ceiling fans with a light are especially hard to find! I LOVE the Hunter Hepburn fan found {HERE} and {HERE} It’s a 52″ fan, which is a good size for most bedrooms, with an attractive globe-shaped light. My favorite finish combination is the brass base with white blades (that reverse to aged oak). We have this exact fan in one of our bedrooms:

Room Sources: Wallpaper | Upholstered bed | Nightstands | Blue duvet cover (color: blue frost) | Duvet insert | White quilt | Blue Euro shams (color: blue frost) | 22″ Patterned pillow covers | Blue and white textured pillow cover
These are the other finish options:

3. Peregrine Industrial Ceiling Fan
If you’ve got a large bedroom and you’re looking to go big in both ceiling fan size and price, consider this 60″ Peregrine Industrial fan found {HERE}. The design is simple yet with an elevated feel, and there are several color/finish options to choose from. I especially love this brushed satin with walnut combo:

But these other finish options are gorgeous too:

4. Prominence Home Ceiling Fan
If you’re looking for a simple, stylish fan on a tight budget, {this 52″ Prominence Home ceiling fan} is definitely one to consider. It gets great reviews, can be used indoors or out, has reversible blades, and comes in three color options including bright white and matte black:

5. Cranbrook Ceiling Fan
This Cranbrook ceiling fan can be found {HERE} and {HERE} in a flush mount design with a painted drum shade and reversible blades. I especially love the Dove Gray color and think it would be the perfect bedroom ceiling fan, while the two pastel colors would be darling in kids rooms:

6. Spitfire Ceiling Fan
If you have a very specific combination of finishes in mind for your ceiling fan, there’s a good chance you’ll find it in the Spitfire ceiling fan found {HERE}. This indoor/outdoor ceiling fan comes in six blade finish options, including white, whitewash, black, weathered wood, natural, and dark walnut. They can be mixed with multiple fan base finish options too, including dark bronze, matte white, black, brushed satin, brushed nickel, matte griege, and galvanized. They come in 48″ and 60″ size options and are available with and without a light. These are a few of my favorite finish combinations:

7. Hunter Presto Ceiling Fan
If you’re looking for a high-quality fan in a simple style that’s a great price and from a well-respected brand, the 52″ Hunter Presto ceiling fan found {HERE} is one to check out. It comes in these three basic finish options:

Reviewers give it positive marks for being whisper quiet and moving air well. It doesn’t include a remote control, so you’d need to buy that separately if you’d like one.
8. Collins Smart Ceiling Fan
{This 52″ ceiling fan} with washed white oak blades is an absolute stunner!

It’s also available in a variety of other wood finishes, including dark walnut, natural honey, and grey weathered oak blades. It’s rated for indoor and covered outdoor use and integrates with Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and Samsung SmartThings via the Bond Home App.
9. Torsion Ceiling Fan
The Torsion ceiling fan found {HERE} and {HERE} is perfect for a bedroom with a more modern design. With three base finishes (dark bronze, bright nickel, & gloss white) and seven blade finishes, there are a ton of stylish combinations:

I think the bright nickel with mahogany blades would be gorgeous in a mid-century modern design. All fan combinations come in two size options (52″ or 62″) and not only can you choose to have a light or no light, but you can select a standard LED or high output LED.
10. Sonet Satin Brass Ceiling Fan
This Sonet Satin Brass Ceiling Fan found {HERE} isn’t cheap, but she sure is pretty and wins the award for the most glamorous fan on the list with a satin brass base and acrylic blades:

It also has an LED light that blends into the rest of the design seamlessly. I bought it for our guest bedroom and love it:

Room Sources: Beadboard bed (weathered white) | Round mirror | Pinch pleat curtains in snow white | Curtain rods | Embroidered stripe duvet cover | Blue and white block print pillows (similar) | White tassel pillow | Cane bench | Nightstands | White Lamps (similar)
Let’s wrap things up with a few tips on what to think about as you shop for your ceiling fan…
Things to Consider When Choosing a Bedroom Ceiling Fan
1. Does the fan come with a remote? Having a remote can be especially important for a bedroom because no one wants to get out of bed in the middle of the night to turn a fan off or on. If the fan you love doesn’t come with a remote, consider buying a universal fan remote such as {this remote} that works with almost all fans.
2. Does your need a ceiling fan need to have a light? If you have no other overhead lighting in your bedroom, you probably want lights on your fan. With some fans the lights are dimmable, while for others they aren’t so that’s another factor to consider.
3. Is having a whisper-quiet fan important to you? Most fans on the market today are fairly quiet and will work well in a bedroom. But if you want a whisper-quiet ceiling fan, look for one with a DC motor (as opposed to an AC motor, which is what most ceiling fans have). DC fans are also more energy efficient.
4. Will you need a downrod for your ceiling fan? Generally, the fan blades should be a minimum of 7′ from the floor (8′ – 9′ above the floor is ideal if you have taller ceilings). For 8-9′ ceilings, fans are typically mounted directly on the ceiling without a downrod or with the short downrod they often come with. For ceilings 10′ and over, your ceiling fan will likely need a downrod – some come with multiple downrods, while for others you need to purchase downrods separately.
5. Be sure to choose the right size ceiling fan (measured as the diameter of the ceiling fan from the tip of the blades) for your space. To choose the best fan size, first determine the square feet of your room by multiplying the room’s length by its width in feet. Then use these suggested guidelines:
- For small bedrooms of up to 75 sq ft, choose a 29″ – 36″ fan
- For medium bedrooms of 75 to 150 sq ft, choose a 36″ – 44″ fan
- For large bedrooms of 150 to 300 sq ft, choose a 44″- 54″ fan
- For extra-large bedrooms of over 300 sq ft, choose a fan that is 54″ or larger.
