With our movers arriving in just a few days, I was all about making my teacher gifts easy this year. I headed to Target, hoping I’d be able to figure something out but knowing that Target gift cards were a good back-up plan if I couldn’t. I went straight to the dollar bins because usually I can find something there that sparks an idea. In this case, it was some cute red & white and yellow & white checked coolers for $3 each.
At the back of the store, I found a display with all the makings of S’mores and some great extendable forks that are perfect for roasting them. Finally, I made a stop in the stationary aisle – are these cards not the cutest?
It took less than 5 minutes to turn my pile of loot
into a fun teacher gift:
I simply stuffed some tissue paper in the bottom of each cooler, added the S’mores fixings, punched a hole in the corner of the thank-you card, and tied it on with some red and white twine (a past Target dollar bin purchase).
All but one of my daughters’ teachers have young kids so I thought it was a fun teacher appreciation gift that they are sure to enjoy this summer. For the other teacher, I bought a Target gift card and used one of my simple tricks for dressing up gift cards that I blogged about last year:
My girls are now officially out of school – let the summer begin!
