Our home office is one of my favorite rooms in our home – a light-filled, yet warm and cozy place to knock some serious work out!
Here’s what we started with when we first moved into our house – I wasn’t crazy about the wall color but we were lucky to have these nice built-in bookcases to work with:
I painted the room a dark charcoal gray (Benjamin Moore Nightfall) and freshened the built-ins up with new coat of paint and added our TV and accessories along with a DIY linen skirt to hide the cord clutter underneath the desk area.
I also added new drapes hung on acrylic and brass drapery rods (you can read more about the drapery rods {here}:
And we just recently added a new wingback desk chair:

Fiddle Leaf Fig – I started off with a real one, it died a slow death and then I switched to faux. I found mine at HomeGoods but another good looking faux is {this fiddle leaf fig tree} that I have in our family room
