Welcome to our living room! This is our TV-free lounging zone – my favorite spot to unwind at the end of a long week!
Our sofa is an IKEA EKTORP – we converted an EKTORP loveseat/chaise into this sofa that’s a foot longer than a standard EKTORP sofa (read more about super sizing our sofa {here}. I never thought I’d have a white sofa but I love having slipcovers that I can take off and throw in the wash. It’s a good thing because it’s our dog’s favorite lounging spot:
Our sofa is flanked by twin HomeGoods side tables that are antique brass with antiqued mirrored tops:
Another favorite snuggle spot in our living room is our window seat – I especially love hanging out in it in the spring when the flowers are in bloom:
Moving to the other side of our living room, you’ll find one of my favorite pieces – a rattan bar cart:
Front and center is the most recent change to this space – our remodeled fireplace. We tour down our old, dated fireplace and added a new mantel and tile surround (you can read more about our new fireplace {here}):
