Inspiration: India at HomeGoods

Last week I got a flyer from HomeGoods about their India event that started on Thursday:

I'm getting ready to start working on my youngest daughter's room redo and she wants to use lots of bright colors so I stopped by HomeGoods today to see what the India event was all about.  At the entrance to the store they had several large wood furniture pieces:

They are all unique pieces but most of them are bit too too ornate and heavy feeling for me (except this tall, shallow cabinet with a tile border at the top that would look so pretty in a shabby chic kitchen!):

They had several ornately carved wood mirrors - love these!

Further into the store, were a couple of large displays with an array of home accessories that were made in India

 including colorful pillows,

fabric-covered journals,

and brightly colored decorative boxes:

I didn't end up buying anything but I'm rethinking the small orange box because bright orange is one of the colors that my daughter would like to use in her bedroom. She certainly has enough junk "treasures" that this little storage box would find a use! Have you been into HomeGoods lately and seen any must-haves that are part of their India event?

  1. That is the same thought I had about those boxes for one of my daughter's as well. She's a collecter, that one. :)
I may have to run out and see if they have any of those at my local store.

    1. That's funny - my daughter collects EVERYTHING also. It's crazy. The more pretty boxes and containers to corral the crap, the better! :-)

  2. I went the other day and purchased a cute little table may not go with my new little office, but is PERFECT for my new printer. I also purchased two frames that were black and beige from the event. Also there were hooks that were attached to a square that were colorful and I could make work for hanging keys. I purchased the only three of them. I love this store. I lost my house in the hurricane in NY and this place has refurnished my entire bedroom. I just love it. I am trying so hard to make this table work.

  3. We strolled at Home Goods a week ago but never end up buying anything. I love their colorful and decorative pillows though, they would look really good in our living room.
