I LOVE the farmhouse chic style of our the new hanging wooden herb boxes in our kitchen! I’m sharing lots of pics of these beauties and details on where you can buy them for your own home!
I’m loving how much lighter and brighter our kitchen looks since removing the old floral wallpaper and painting the walls white (I went with BM White Dove out of {these favorite whites}) but the space still needs a little warming up. One of the my favorite ways to warm up a space is by adding in some warm wood tones so when I saw these hanging wooden herb boxes, I knew they were the perfect thing! I thought I’d share how I’m using them plus where you can buy them for your own home! (post includes affiliate links; full disclosure statement available {here})
We have a narrow wall at the end of our kitchen eat-in area leading into the laundry room that’s been sitting empty forever. It turns out that this set of four hanging wooden herb boxes is exactly what it needed:
They add so much warmth and life to the room!
I found my herb boxes {here} where they’re sold in a set of four. They also become available at Decor Steals once or twice a year – sometimes it’s for a better price but often it’s about the same since you need to pay for shipping too. If you’re wondering how I hang my wooden herb boxes, I decided to go simple and hung them with oil rubbed bronze robe hooks like {these}. And since I know I’ll get questions about it, the rolling baker’s rack in my kitchen is no longer available but you can find a very similar rolling rack {here}.

Starting from the bottom and working our way up, the herb box labeled “Thyme” is a great size for holding our rolled up placemats:
while the Rosemary box above it fits two mason jars filled with water so I can fill it with flowers. I’ll be changing around what’s in this box throughout the year but for now it holds some spring tulips:
And since the spot where they hang is close to our kitchen table, I added some things that we use at our table every day so they’re easy and accessible to grab including my oil and vinegar set in the top “Parsley” box (we use these several times a week for dipping our bread at dinner):

Thanks so much Natalie – I had a hard time deciding on the hooks! I ended up going with something that would be pretty simple and inconspicuous – they are single oil rubbed bronze robe hooks.
