Sharing my favorite Christmas advent calendars
We always had an advent calendar growing up and, just like my girls, it was something that I loved about the holiday season. There are so many ways to DIY an advent calendar but if crafting isn’t your thing, the advent calendars sold in stores seem to get cuter and cuter each year. Our childhood advent calendar was one that just marked the days until Christmas with little felt animals but you could also use them for little daily treats or notes! I rounded up my seven favorites to share with you today! (affiliate links included in post – full disclosure statement available {here})
1. This cute advent calendar with tassels on the bottom (found {here}) is the one that I bought last year to hang upstairs in the our little bonus room and they have it again this year – love!
We’re just using this one to count day the days until Christmas with the little Santa hat, but you could also tuck small treats in the pockets!
2. Pottery Barn Kids always has darling advent calendars! This Christmas tree advent calendar (found {here}) is one of my favorites:
3. I also love this red velvet advent calendar (found {here}) – the plaid surround is darling!

4. If you’re looking for an advent calendar to hide small daily treats, this house advent calendar found {here} with a little drawer in each mini house couldn’t be cuter!
5. I would have loved to have this printable gingerbread house advent calendar (found {here}) when my kids were little! It’s only $5 and you can instantly download and print on cardstock at home or a local print shop. Give your kiddos a glue stick and scissors and soon they’ll have their own little gingerbread village!
6. If you’re a dog mom or dad, December would be your pup’s favorite month with this felt advent calendar (found {here}) with pockets for a dog biscuit a day!
7. I absolutely love this last advent calendar (found {here}) because it focuses on daily act of kindness and good deeds. Each of the packets leading up to Christmas day has a different quote about kindness printed on the back for your child/children to accomplish. So sweet!
I’m off to finish up my holiday decorating! Enjoy your weekend everyone!
