Over the weekend my youngest daughter and I went to Calico Corners to look at fabrics because a makeover of her bedroom (we’re saying goodbye to little girl butterflies and hello to modern tween!) is the next project I’m jumping into after our home office remodel is complete. As we were heading out of the store, a pair of familiar, sultry eyes jumped out at me from a stack of flyers:
I had no idea, did you? Apparently Nate Berkus has created his first ever fabric collection and it will be sold exclusively at Calico Corners starting on Monday. I’m sure you all love Nate Berkus as much as I do – he designs with the perfect mix of classic and contemporary, neutrals and color, & elegance and comfort.
I think that his fall collection for Target is fantastic and includes so many great accessories. I’m hoping that his new line of fabrics will be equally as fabulous. His fabric collection will include 96 fabric options, including print, drapery, and woven upholstery fabrics, that will retail starting at $14/yard. About 40 more fabric options will be added when the second round of the collection launches in late spring. They’re keeping his fabric designs under tight wraps at the moment so the only images of his fabrics that I could get my hands on are these:
She has created a new fan deck that includes her 60 favorite Benjamin Moore colors. As a huge fan of Candice’s design style, I can’t wait to get my hands on this new fan deck – luckily I won’t have to wait too long because this week I received an e-mail informing me that I had won her new fan deck as well as one of her books (Candice Olson Bedrooms) through my online entry into a recent Candice Olson/Benjamin Moore giveaway! Definitely a great prize and a thrill to win but I keep thinking about how close I was to winning the grand prize – round-trip airfare and hotel accommodations for two to Toronto, a private consulation with Candice Olson, $5000 to spend on decorating your home, and 10 gallons of Benjamin Moore Aura Paint. Can you imagine??
