Love the look of copper in the kitchen? There are so many gorgeous copper kitchen accents to choose from! I’m sharing my favorites!
When you’re remodeling or updating your kitchen, one thing you need to decide on is what metal finishes you’re using. Most people use nickel, chrome, or brass, but have you given any thought to copper? Whether you use copper accents in larger doses like a copper range or kitchen pendants or you bring in smaller copper kitchen decor accents, the warmth of copper can’t be matched!
Today I’m sharing some ideas and inspiration for how to incorporate copper accents into your kitchen and I’ve gathered together some favorite copper kitchen decor pieces too. (post includes affiliate links – see my full disclosure statement {here}).
Copper Kitchen Lighting
You can bring copper into your kitchen with new pendant lighting like in this gorgeous kitchen with two copper pendants over the island:
I love how the copper mixes so well with the other metal finishes of the faucet and cabinet pulls and knobs.
If you don’t have pendants in your kitchen, another option is to add copper flush mount lighting over the sink (this is a laundry room but you could do the same thing in a kitchen!):
While they used a different finish for the faucet, they tied in the copper color with the canisters on the countertop which is smart. One of my tips for mixing metals is to have each metal you use in at least two different spots in the room. You can see my other tips for mixing metals in {this post}.
Copper Kitchen Accents
Bringing copper finishes into your kitchen can also be as simple as adding a grouping of copper pots, whether they’re hanging from a pot rack over your kitchen island or from a wall mounted rack over the range like in this beautifully designed kitchen:
Or if you want to go all out, you could add a copper range hood or range like this beauty:

or you could stick with the range you have and simply display some pretty copper pots and other bakeware on open shelving. The stunning kitchen is a great example of both!
Another option I absolutely love the look of is a copper sink, especially this combination with white cabinets and dark countertops:
While an option for bringing a smaller dose of copper into your kitchen is to use copper knobs and pulls like {these}:
What do you guys think – do you love the look of copper too or are you more into other types of metals (brass? venetian bronze? silver?)? Luckily it’s easy to baby step your way into using copper in the kitchen by choosing smaller copper kitchen decor accents. These are my favorites:

I am a big fan of copper in the kitchen. We had copper pendants in our kitchen in Tennessee and I miss them.

So good to hear that you had copper and didn’t get sick of it at all!

Kris,
Our daughter-in-law just re-did their kitchen using copper pendants and copper rims around the few recessed lights. It looks wonderful. When they did it their electrician said to them, “no one does copper, you’ll be sorry!” After installing everything he confessed he loved it and would recommend it to clients.
I love some of these images, they remind me of some their kitchen accents.
xo,
Karen

That’s so funny and I love the idea of the copper rims – I bet that was stunning!

Hmmmm not sure what I think about copper… We do have a copper bar sink in our wine room…maybe a little goes a long way…
Kris Jarrett says
Agreed! I think a sink or a few lights would be perfect. And I totally love your wine room by the way.

The copper sink and stove are amazing! I’m a big fan of copper. We had copper cabinet & drawer pulls and a cool copper toaster in our kitchen back in Ottawa. I wanted copper because it’s such a lovely warm metal, and not a lot of people use it. Although with beautiful inspiration like in the pictures you posted, that could change!
Kris Jarrett says
I’ve never seen a copper toaster – that would be so cool!!
Kris Jarrett says
So cool!!

It may not be the hot trend right now, but it is classic so it never looks out of style. I like the bright shiny new look and the aged pieces with a dark patina….just depends on the whole style of the kitchen 🙂

Where can I find a large copper fruit bowl?

I like copper too, but I’m worried I’ll get tired of it pretty fast. So I went with both chrome/ nickel and brass finishes in our kitchen!

Love this! I wrote a similar piece a few months ago and then recently went over to a guy friend’s house to see he had purchased copper canisters! I just bought a copper farmsink to be installed in the house we’re building and I can’t wait to see the way it looks. Love your style!
Kris Jarrett says
Oh my gosh, a copper farmhouse sink sounds amazing!!

I have been remodeling my kitchen and now I need to pick out some new appliances. I heard that copper could look really nice in a kitchen and after seeing all these pictures I think that is very true. I love that copper sink with the dark counter top! It does make a really nice contrast. I would love to try that!

Hi There!
Could you tell me where the copper wall mounted pot rack came from in the Crisp Architects shot? I have been looking for one. I really like the look of that. Beautiful!
Thank you!

Unfortunately I’m not sure – I would reach out to them directly. The link to their site is below the image.
