Looking for some cute decorative letters for your home? I’m sharing my favorite decorative letters along with ideas of how to use them!
Over the weekend I started working on a new home project – creating a message center in our kitchen. I’d like to incorporate a decorative letter “J” into the project so that sent me on a search for beautiful decorative wall letters. I ended up finding some great letters as well as several inspiration ideas on ways to use decorative letters in your home. Want to see? One of the simplest ideas for using decorative letters is also one of my favorite – use a statement-making letter alone on wall such as with {these oversized galvanized wall letters}:
or this beautiful wood letter found {here} that’s you can have personalized with your name and year:
I also love the use of one of these same statement-making galvanized letters as decor on a shelf:
Decorative letters are fun to use in the kitchen – one idea is to use rustic metal letters like {these} to spell out something as simple as “EAT”:
In a nursery or kid’s room they look darling spelling out a name hung over a crib or dresser like with {these mesh letters}:
Another fun idea is to use a single large letter as front door decor such as this beautiful whitewashed wood letter found {here}:
While most decorative letters are wood or zinc, there are some beautifully unique options out there too! I love Pottery Barn’s Live Moss Letters found {here} – they are made with real moss wrapped around a wood laminate base and come with an ivory ribbon for hanging. They are big guys at 18″-20″ tall:
Etsy is always a great place to look if your goal is to find something unique. One of my favorite finds there are these wine cork letters from the Etsy shop Desert Coastal Studios {here}. Each letter is created with wine and champagne corks incorporate wineries starting with same letter as letter chosen.
