In case the blue hair is throwing you off, that’s Katy Perry as well as Taylor Lautner, Katherine McPhee, and Jimmy Fallon. There was even a short performance by Lenny Kravitz. As you can imagine, living in Ohio, Hollywood star sightings are few and far between so I was loving it. After the awards show, it was on to the second venue – this is the one that I had really been looking forward to – the CMT Crossroads Concert with Steven Tyler and Carrie Underwood!
Sounds like a strange combination of singers to put together, right?! Well, CMT obviously knows what they are doing because Steven and Carrie put on an amazing performance. The concert was televised on Saturday night but if you missed it, they are replaying it on CMT Saturday, February 11th at 10am so set your DVRs – you won’t be disappointed!
Ok, time to get back to business – let’s talk Pottery Barn Teen. Being a mother of two pre-teen girls (and thus having bought my share of things from Pottery Barn Teen), our mail is flooded with PB Teen catalogs. Usually I take about 30 seconds to flip through them before they hit the recycling bin but the latest Pottery Barn Teen catalogs have been different – they have some great new items that would not only work in a teen’s room but would also be great for the family room, master bedroom, kitchen, etc. Some of their best new items are their rugs – there are three in particular that would look great in many different rooms of the house. One of them is the Lattice Rug, which is a cut and looped pile wool rug that comes in three sizes and four pretty colors:

Melissa from House to Home blog used the Warm Gray Lattice Rug in a redo of her Living Room – looks great, doesn’t it?!

I also love Pottery Barn Teen’s wool Tribal Dhurrie Rug

and their Tufted Paisley Rug, which comes in black as well as a pretty light aqua (“pool”) color.

Pottery Barn Teen also has some wall decor that is just as suited to us non-teens as the teenagers they are targeting. I love their new Birdcage Mirrors, which are sculpted from bronze wire and designed to hold earrings, necklaces, and other jewelry. When hung by your front door, these mirrors would be perfect for holding sunglasses, keys, and other items you don’t want to forget as you fly out the door.

Pottery Barn Teen also has some great new lighting, like this acrylic chandelier with ribbon trim drum shades,

Pottery Barn Teen also has several beds that would work well in a master bedroom or guest bedroom. I especially love their Maison Canopy bed, which comes in an antique white or dark iron finish:
