While cleaning up my files on our old computer last weekend, I came across a folder that I created years ago with images of unique kitchen storage ideas that I'd love to use in a future kitchen remodel. Adding these images to several that I've collected via Pinterest over the past year, I've got everything that I need to create one heck of an organized kitchen (well, everything except the forty grand to actually do the remodel....). Wanna see my favorite ideas??
I'm not a fan of paper towel holders that hang from the bottom of upper kitchen cabinets but also don't love having a roll of paper towels chilling out on my countertop. I LOVE this solution of a slender pullout that not only holds a roll of paper towels, but also has rods for hanging dish towels:
Another great solution is to build a paper towel dispenser into your cabinetry which has the advantage of easy accessibility:
I'm not the tallest of girls so it's much easier for me to get to things in our lower cabinets than things on the shelves in our upper cabinets. I think I'd love to have a storage drawer like this for dishes:
And how about a built-in cutting board that pulls out over your garbage can - genius! I would want the cutting board to be removable for easy washing.
Right now, my spices are on a rack on the back of our pantry door, which works ok but it would be great to have my spices and oils stored right next to the cooktop:

The space underneath my kitchen sink is a very scary, scary place. This solution is fabulous, allowing you to organize your cleaning supplies and easily access supplies stored near the back:
I have two drawers that I use for utensils but some of my bigger spatulas and ladles take up way to much space and always get stuck when I open and shut my drawers. This pull out storage solution for utensils located right next to the stove is perfect:
And how about those bags of onions and potatoes that are sitting on the floor in your pantry - this is such a better solution:
Our kitchen corner cabinets don't have a lazy susan or any other fancy storage solution - I couldn't even begin to guess what must be shoved into my corner cabinet abyss. When we do a kitchen remodel, one of these solutions is a must:
Having a pull out cabinet for a trash can is nothing all that new, but how great would it be to have one for trash, one for recycling, AND a place to store your trash bags:
What kitchen storage/design idea would you most love to have in your kitchen?
Many good ideas there. A few I'd like to have is the dishes in a lower drawer, the garbage & recycling cans that pull out, and those corner cabinets.
ReplyDeleteThose are some of my faves too! Have a nice weekend Stacey!
DeleteThe one with spice racks cabinet with cooking stove in the middle. This is to help keep my spices and condiments organized.
ReplyDeleteMy spices are such a disorganized mess - would love this!
DeleteThese are so inspiring! Makes me want to go mess with a few of our cabinets. :) I love the idea of the spices right by the stove. SO smart.
ReplyDeleteI'm right with you Kelly - hopefully whenever we get around to our kitchen remodel, I can make it happen!
DeleteI love each one of these organization solutions so much! But I especially love the corner drawers and the trash/recycle pull-out. My in-law's included that in their kitchen and I love that it looks just like the cabinetry but it's a secret hiding spot for the unattractive trash bin!
ReplyDeleteThe trash/recycle pull-out would be awesome. When we have recycling we have to throw it in a bin in our garage - would love to have it in a more convenient place!
DeleteYou have some great ideas...love the pull out cabinet storing towels and paper towels. I also loved the cutting board over the trash can and especially the under the sink fiasco problem solved! Thanks
ReplyDeleteYour favorite are now my favorite, all the above kitchen designs are fabulous, loving them.
ReplyDeleteThanks Liam!
DeleteWow, great ideas! I am ready to build my own paper towel thingy...it is that problem that never goes away! And that is such a great idea to have the spices by the oven/cutting board over the trash. I never even knew how much time I must be wasting!
