Looking for an end of bed bench for your bedroom! I’m sharing my stylish favorites!
One of the little extras that I love to have in bedrooms is an end of bed bench. It’s so nice to have a spot to sit while I’m putting on my shoes and a place to pack and unpack suitcases, lay out clothes, and stack our throw pillows when we go to bed. When shopping for a new bench, I’m pretty sure I came across every single option out there so I decided to round my favorites up to share with you! (affiliate links included in post – full disclosure statement available {here})
What’s Size End of Bed Bench is Best?
When shopping for an end of bed bench, the best size depends upon the bed size. A bench that’s roughly between ⅔ the width of the bed and the full width of the bed is a good fit. For queen beds (which are 60″ wide), a bench that’s between 45-60″ works well. For king beds (which are 76″ wide), a bench that’s between 55-70″ works well.
Another option is to use two stools or poufs instead of a bench. In our bedroom (that has a king bed) we have a pair of teak camp stools similar to {these} at the end of the bed that work really well for us:
Bedroom Sources: Camp stools (similar) | White table lamps (similar) | Gray & white duvet – no longer available | Gray & white dragon/floral pillows | Quilt (Flagstone color) | Drapes (mine are single-width blackout lined) | Diamond jute rug
I love the X-base stool design and that they can be folded for easy storage.
The End of Bed Benches in Our Home
In my oldest daughter’s bedroom in our previous home, we had {this gorgeous 47″wood bench with white leather lacing}:
Room Sources: Blue grasscloth wallpaper | Gold quatrefoil pendant | Canvas surf scene art | Blue fringed pillow covers | Leather weave bench | Acrylic lamp | Blue & white planter

Hi Kris,

Kris Jarrett says
Hi Mary – it’s from PB Teen but is about the same price as the other one. This post might be helpful – I gathered together some beds for less! https://www.drivenbydecor.com/inexpensive-cheap-queen-beds/

Hi Kris,
Thanks for a terrific post, love all the sales, especially the Anthropologie sale:). Love, love, love the Serena and Lily blue and white bench you bought, but $1000 for a bench, come on!! You obviously get it at a discount as I can’t imagine you’d pay full price. I’d never!!!

Hi, where did you purchase the white slat headboard in your oldest daughters room pictured above?
Thank you!
