1. I bought this heat resistant, nonstick silicone tool rest as part of Jeff’s Father’s Day gift last year. It keeps your grill side table free of scratches and messy grease & sauces by providing a spot to rest grilling tools, including special prongs to cradle tongs:

It makes clean-up is breeze since you can simply throw the tool rest in the dishwasher! You can buy the tool rest separately {here} or as a 3-piece set with a stainless steel turner and scalloped tongs {here}.
2. These reusable mesh grilling bags found {here} are awesome for grilling everything from shrimp to fish, vegetables, and more. The bags keep smaller food items from falling between the grates of the grill and they’re nonstick too. They also make it easy to pour or brush marinade onto your food:

3. Create the perfect smash burger with {this smashed burger cast iron press} that creates thin patties with crispy edges that cook quickly and can be stacked as double or triple deckers.

We usually make thick burgers but given my love for Shake Shack’s thin patty burgers, I totally want to give the smash burger a try!
4. Jeff has gone through several different grill lights over the years and {this heat-resistant grill light} has proven to be his favorite. It clamps onto the grill’s handle (it doesn’t need to be magnetic) and can be rotated to the perfect position to illuminate the food you’re grilling. There are two levels of brightness to choose from, including a high setting that’s awesomely bright (this pic was taken when it was completely dark out):

It’s the perfect gift for the after-dark griller!
5. This grill basket found {here} is an alternative to using grilling bags for veggies and other small foods. It works with all grill types and is dishwasher safe for easy clean up!
6. If the dad in your life likes to grill chicken, pork, or other meats and then shred it to make barbecue, shredded meat tacos, etc, then {these meat shredding claws} are a must-have to get the job done easily! They can also be used to carry or handle larger pieces of meat by placing the claws underneath or can be used to securely hold meat while carving.
7. This wireless smart meat thermometer (found {here}) is placed in the meat you’re cooking and connects by Bluetooth to an app on your phone so you can monitor your food’s temperature without having to lift up the lid of the grill. It even tells you how many estimated minutes of cook time are remaining and you can set alerts for when your food reaches its “done” temperature. I gave this to Jeff for Father’s Day last year and he loves it!
8. {These heat resistant grilling gloves} are the perfect balance of protection and comfort (they’re less stiff than many other grilling gloves). Plus they’re washing machine safe for easy cleaning.

9. For an easy way to do kebabs without the hassle of skewers, {these long, nonstick grilling baskets} are winners!
10. {This long-handled basting brush & pot} are perfect for marinades or barbecue sauce. The basting brush has silicone bristles that grab and hold sauces and stand up to the high temperatures of the grill.

11. {This grill brush and scraper} is Jeff’s favorite tool for getting the grill clean! As a tip, dunking the brush in water before brushing the grill grates while the grill is on creates a steam clean effect to get your grill extra clean!

The Gadget-Loving Dad
Are you looking for a gift for a dad who loves a good gadget? These gifts for gadget-loving dads are tried and true winners:

Links: 1. Breakfast sandwich maker | 2. Digital tire pressure gauge | 3. Ember smart mug | 4. MyQ smart garage control | 5. Universal socket tool | 6. Caséta smart home lighting system | 7. Stay-cold beer glasses | 8. Magic wallet | 9. Portable jump starter | 10. Magnetic wristband
1. I bought {this breakfast sandwich maker} for Jeff several years ago and he’s used it hundreds of times since. You simply add an English muffin, egg, and your favorite breakfast meat and it makes a super quick and yummy breakfast sandwich.

It’s the Father’s Day gift that gives back if it turns your husband into the family breakfast maker more often 🙂
2. Jeff bought {this digital air pressure gauge} and he likes it much better than his old gauge for checking the air pressure on our car & bike tires.
3. Another winning gift I gave Jeff several years back is {this Ember smart mug} that keeps his coffee his exact preferred temperature all day long (you control it with an app on your phone). One of the great things about it is that you aren’t tied to the charging coaster – you can remove the mug from the Ember coaster for up to 80 minutes at a time. It’s become one of his work-from-home essentials:

4. We bought {this MyQ smart garage door control} when we first bought our house in NC and it’s become really invaluable! It allows you to open your garage door from anywhere with your phone (which is so nice if you need to let someone into your home when you’re gone). I also love that a simple check of the app tells you if your garage door is open so you never have to circle back around with your car to double check that it’s closed.

5. Whenever Jeff and I have a home project, it never fails that the specific socket wrench we need is the one in the set that we can’t find. With {this universal socket tool}, you’ve always got the tool you need and it takes up much less storage space than a complete socket set which is a win!
6. We’ve had the Caséta by Lutron smart home lighting system in our previous and current homes and LOVE it! We’re able to control lights on Caséta switches with an app on our phone or with our voice via Alexa. I also love that we can turn lights on and off in our home when we’re away, including the option to put our lights on a random setting so we never need to set light timers when we’re on vacation. Start your Caséta home lighting system with {this starter kit} and build it out from there! For more details, see {this post} that details our smart lighting system and smart shades too!
7.If you have a beer-loving dad to find a gift for, {these gel-lined beer glasses} would be a hit! Simply put the glasses in the freezer for a few hours to freeze the tumbler gel and it will keep your beer cold until you take your last sip!

8. You have to see a video of {this magic wallet} in action to best understand how it works but you can place a receipt loose inside the wallet,

close the wallet, and then open it at the other end. You’ll then find that loose receipt has been neatly secured under the wallet’s elastic bands:

Jeff also loves that it’s thin (so is easy to fit in his pocket) and has slots to hold credit cards on the outside:

9. Jeff bought {these portable jump starters} for each one of our cars so that if we ever break down, we’re not reliant on another car to jump start a dead battery:

It can also be used as a portable power bank to recharge smartphones and other USB devices. Plus there’s an integrated LED flashlight, making it a must-have for roadside emergencies.
10. {This magnetic wristband} is perfect for the super handy dad who loves DIY projects. It securely holds screws, nails, drill bits, etc. close at hand which is especially helpful when working on a ladder so you don’t have to constantly be climbing up and down to grab the things you need:

The Traveling Dad
Is the dad in your life a road warrior who a lot travels for work or pleasure? Consider one of these great gifts for traveling dads:
Want to save this post?

Links: 1. Carry-on cocktail kit | 2. AirPods Pro | 3. Memory foam travel pillow | 4. Laptop backpack | 5. Closed toe sandals | 6. Travel power strip | 7. Grid-it organizer | 8. Carry-on bag | 9. Packing cubes | 10. Passport + vaccine card holder
1. This carry-on cocktail kit (found {here}) is such a fun idea for a traveling dad who loves a good cocktail! Simply add an airplane size bottle of alcohol to the drink mixers and garnishes included in the kit to create the perfect in-flight cocktail. Each kit contains all of the ingredients (minus the alcohol) to mix six cocktails. Drink mix options include old-fashioned, moscow mule, gin & tonic, and champagne cocktails:

2. If anyone on your list has AirPods and hasn’t upgraded to {these AirPods Pros}, they would make a great gift! Jeff loves the added feature of noise cancellation to block out the noisy surroundings of the airport. Also, the design of the ear pieces make them more comfortable to wear for extended periods of time than plain AirPods.
3. Instead of your typical blow-up neck pillow that isn’t all that comfortable, {this memory foam travel pillow} gets amazing reviews for comfort! It’s machine-washable and comes with a travel bag that compresses it down to half its size:

An eye mask and ear plugs are included too.
4. If the dad in your life takes frequent work trips, a laptop backpack is a must-have! {This laptop backpack} is a highly rated one with over 60,000 reviews that comes in several color and two size options. It has a luggage strap to slide over the handle of a roller bag, an anti-theft back pocket, and a USB charging port.
5. These closed toe sandals that are available in several color options {here} are Jeff’s go-to travel shoes. They’re super comfortable, machine washable, and dry quickly if they get wet (so if your shoes get wet on a rainy day, you’re not left with damp shoes & feet throughout the end of your travels).
6. Some hotels have the placement of their outlets totally figured out while others have either too few outlets and/or outlets that are hard to reach. This travel power strip (found {here}) allows you to power multiple devices from a single outlet.
7. Jeff has used these grid-it organizers for years when traveling. They have multiple elastic straps that can be used to hold toiletries, office supplies, or cords (which is what Jeff mostly uses his for). The great thing about it is that it lays flat so is super easy to pack in your suitcase without taking up much space. You can find grid-it organizers in several size options including {this medium size} that Jeff prefers.

8. Jeff travels frequently for business and {this carry-on} is his go-to. He loves that it’s a top zip design (as opposed to a clamshell design where it opens in two equal halves) which allows him to fit more in it. It’s also lightweight and super durable.
9. Packing cubes are the best! They make it so easy to find everything in your suitcase and keep clothing from getting wrinkled during travel too. {These packing cubes} come in a set of 6 that includes a laundry bag and shoe bag, all in several color options.
10. For those dads who do a lot of international travel, having a holder for both their passport and vaccine card would make a great gift. {This passport holder} with vaccine card slot comes in multiple color options and has RFID blocking technology to protect from unauthorized scans.
The Outdoor-Loving Dad
Is your dad’s idea of a great weekend one that’s filled with outdoor activities? Then one of these Father’s Day gifts for the outdoor-loving dad is sure to please…

Links: 1. Sandproof beach blanket | 2. Waterproof dry bag | 3. Practice putting green | 4. Slammo outdoor game | 5. Camp chair with built-in cooler | 6. Bluetooth beanie hat | 7. Solo stove | 8. YETI rolling cooler | 9. Bocce ball set
1. Jeff bought one of {these sand resistant beach blankets} last year and it’s a keeper! Unlike typical beach blankets and towels, the sand doesn’t stick to it and it dries quickly too. While the blanket is large, it folds to a compact size that fits in a pouch, making it easy to carry (a plus for us since we can bike to the beach!).
2. If you have a dad who loves water-related outings, {this waterproof dry bag} would make a great gift! The roll down closure at the top provides a waterproof seal to keep his belongings dry during boating, kayaking, paddling, or other water sports. It’s available in several size & color options.
3. The dad who loves to golf would appreciate the gift of {this fun practice putting green}! It’s the best selling practice putting mat on Amazon and is sold at a surprisingly reasonable price.
4. {This Slammo game} is a volleyball style lawn (or beach!) game that reviewers say is easy to learn and fun to play. A great gift for dads with an active family.
5. {This camping chair} looks like your typical outdoor folding chair but it has a built-in 4 can cooler:

plus a mesh cup holder and side pockets. Several reviewers state that it’s larger and more comfortable than most outdoor folding chairs too!
6. For outdoor winter activities, {this beanie} keeps your head warm while allowing you to listen to music or podcasts without separate headphones by pairing with your phone via Bluetooth. The built-in rechargeable battery offers 8-10 hours of playing time and the beanie is fully washable.
7. We bought {this Bonfire Solo stove} two years ago and it has lived up to the hype! You can create an amazing fire but without all of the smoke from typical fire pits. It comes in 3 sizes, including the small, portable Ranger, the medium Bonfire (what we have) and the large Yukon. We love the Bonfire because it’s large enough to create a great fire but portable too:

You can find them all on Amazon {here} or buy directly from Solo {here}.
8. Do you have a large budget for a Father’s Day gift? {This rolling YETI cooler} is amazing for keeping drinks cold all day long and the fact that it’s on wheels is a definite plus! There are several color options but beware that the price can change significantly based on your color choice:

9. We bought {this bocce ball set} to play in our backyard and it’s been a win! The game is super simple but fun (it’s a much less active game than Slammo so it’s perfect for hot days or when you just want to hang out and talk/drink while playing) and the soft rubber balls make it great for all ages (you have the option to choose traditional resin balls too).

That wraps up the last of my Father’s Day gift ideas! I hope you all enjoy the rest of the weekend – I’ll see you back on the blog next week!
XO,
