Looking for a stylish laundry hamper with lid? I’ve rounded up my favorites!
When searching for the finishing touches for our master bathroom remodel, finding a stylish, functional hamper was at the top of my to-find list since ours isn’t hidden away in a closet – it takes center stage under our bathroom floating shelves. Bathrooms are full of hard surfaces so warming it up was key and I knew a woven hamper would do exactly that.
So I went on the hunt for a woven laundry hamper with a lid that would be the perfect fit for our space – I found so many beautiful ones in my search that I thought I’d save a little work for those of you looking for the same thing and share my favorites in today’s quick post! The Laundry Hamper with Lid I Chose for Our Bathroom
So which one did I end up choosing? {This La Jolla Basket} in the large size:
Since Jeff and I will both be using it, I wanted a hamper that was large and would hold up or years. I knew from experience that cheaper baskets often end up getting misshapen over time (a few years back I bought two woven baskets from HomeGoods to use as hampers and ended up having to throw them out after they collapsed a few months in) so I went for this one that was more expensive but also better made. I’ve had it for several years now and it’s held up beautifully!
Sometimes it’s hard to tell from pics but the large size is pretty sizable. If you’re looking for a hamper with lid for just one person, {this medium size La Jolla basket} is probably large enough – that’s what I bought for my youngest daughter’s room after her HomeGoods version bit the dust:

With or Without a Liner?
While this rule probably doesn’t hold true 100% of the time, what I’ve found from all of the woven hampers that I’ve had in the past is that seagrass baskets & hampers don’t tend to snag clothes but those made from water hyacinth and rattan often do. So if you’re buying one made from water hyacinth or rattan I would check to see that it comes with a fabric liner and be prepared to buy one if it doesn’t. I actually think the look of hampers with liners that fold over the top like {this hamper} is super cute!
I have the largest of {this pair of woven baskets with liners} in our guest bedroom where I use it as a hamper (see more pics of it in my post on guest bedroom ideas):
And I have the smaller size of the pair in our laundry room holding shoes:

Other Uses for Lidded Baskets
Lidded baskets like these can be used for lots of things other than hampers too! They’re great for storing shoes by your front door, extra throws next to your living room sofa, and kids toys too. {This woven cat shaped basket} is darling and would be perfect for shoes or toys in a kid space:
