I threw my daughter a movie themed birthday party and it turned out to be one of the best parties she ever had! I’m sharing all of the details, including what we did at the party and the types of treats and party favors we had for inspiration in hosting your own movie themed birthday party.
Some other favorite movie-themed party supplies are theses that I used for the party are these water bottle wraps, printable cupcake toppers, sugar cookies, banner, and straws (click image to shop):
For a party activity, we created a homemade version of a photo booth. I picked up a lightweight laser cut frame at Michael’s
I found plenty of cute, inexpensive movie-themed favors:
Update: We did a circus / carnival theme for my other daughter’s party and I wrote all about it {here}
This was such a cute party idea! I did this years ago for one of my daughters but it wasn’t as cute as yours! All 3 of my daughters beats are 4 weeks apart, so I understand the whole one down and another to go. 😉
Have a great weekend!
Very cute party ideas. As for the circus theme, IKEA has a circus tent (under Children’s furniture) for $20. Birthday Express also has lots of circus/carnival paper goods. Good Luck!
I’m loving you Anonymous! The IKEA circus tent idea rocks – thanks!
Hi Kris! I love your party idea and it all looked fantastic. Loved the candy bar! You saw what I did last month for my 13 year olds, its gets harder each year I’m telling you, that may have been my last themed party for them 🙁 But might pinch your idea for the photo frame next time.
You’re more than welcome to pinch my photo frame idea as long as I can pinch your sock monkey favor idea 🙂 – Love that!
I love this idea for my daughter, do anyone have ideas for a 9 year boy birthday my kids birthday’s are 2 weeks a part 10/29 and 11/14. I have done Halloween parties to combine them but now they would like something different.
I love this party idea! What did the girls put their candy and popcorn in?
Thanks! This was a small party with just four girls so they each took one of the popcorn containers that are in the picture of the candy bar and then they had little red and white striped cups to put their candy in.
Where did you find the “IN LIGHTS” font?
It’s a Picmonkey font!
thank you soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much this helped
