I’m a total sucker for a good round mirror and have way more in my home than is probably normal 🙂 . They’re just so good for kicking a room up a notch by softening a space, filling tough to decorate spaces like above the bed, and more. Today I’m sharing my favorite round mirrors and and all the different places and spaces I use them in our home. If you’re on the hunt for a round mirror hopefully this will help you find one you love! And even if you’re not, it should give you a few new ideas to use the ones you already have in new ways. Round Woven Mirrors
I’m going to kick things off with round woven mirrors because this is the style I’ve been crushing on the most lately! I added {this round white + natural rattan mirror} in the small size above the bed in the guest bedroom in our house in NC and love how much style it added to the space:
Sources: Queen beadboard bed (weathered white) | 12″ Memory foam queen mattress (no boxspring needed) | Blue & white quilted shams (similar) | Blue tasseled edge pillow covers | Navy embroidered lumbar pillow cover ( with {this} pillow insert) | Navy border duvet cover | Navy border sheets | White quilt | Backless bench at foot of bed | Nightstand | Lamp (similar)
And I have {this rattan mirror} over our fireplace that fits the space so well (also check out {this round decorative mirror} for a similar look):
I also love the simple style of rattan edged mirrors like this beauty that’s perfect for over a chest. The simple combination of a round mirror over a rectangular piece of furniture works every time!
The exact mirror above is available {here} in three sizes and three colors but also check out {this mirror} and {this one} for a similar look for less! I used one of the inexpensive versions of this mirror for our powder room with bathroom shiplap so if you’re looking for a bathroom mirror, check that post out as well as my post on bathroom mirror ideas.

Round Wood Mirrors
We have a large wood mirror with the prettiest wood barrel frame on the fireplace mantel in our living room. It comes in three different sizes (mine is the 30″) and four different finishes (mine is the natural).
I found it {here}. Our living room is one of the darkest rooms in our house so having a mirror on the mantel helps bounce the light around and also reflects some of the pretty view out the large bay window directly across from it. When our large rhododendron blooms in the spring, the color coming through our bay window plus the color that gets bounced around by our fireplace mirror turns the whole room pink – I love it!
I’m also crazy about {this statement-making round wood mirror} in a warm graywash finish – so pretty! It comes in two sizes including a whopping 44″ option:
Also check out {this ball mirror} for a somewhat similar look in white along with these other round wood mirror favorites (Scroll & Click/Tap Photos to Shop Them):
There’s no hard and fast rule for how large of a mirror to buy for over a console or chest but I tend to like the look of one that’s about ⅔ – ⅚ the width of smaller pieces and mirrors that are ½ – ⅔ the width of longer furniture pieces.
Round Mirrors: Metal Finishes
My oldest daughter’s room has a 28″ round brass mirror over her desk that’s a great price and comes in other finishes too – I found it {here}.

If you like the simple style of it but want a larger size, check out {this round mirror} that’s 36″ and available in brass, nickel, and bronze.
And if you like large metal mirrors but want one with a little more of a design element to it, in our master bedroom I have {this large round decorative mirror} with a fun little faux hook at the top that reminds me of an old-time pocket watch:

The mirror actually comes in a bronze finish but it blended in too much with my little girl planter head so I changed it up to more of a brass finish with {this gold leaf Rub ‘n Buff} which is one of my favorite Rub ‘n Buff colors. If you’ve never used Rub ‘n Buff, give it a try! It comes in lots of different finish options and is a super quick and easy way to change the look of metals. To use it, I hung my mirror up, put paper behind it so the Rub ‘n Buff wouldn’t get on my walls, and then went around my whole mirror rubbing in a small amount of Rub ‘n Buff around the entire metal edge using a rag. It literally took me less than 15 minutes to do. So definitely always something to think about if you find a metal framed mirror that you like in a finish that you don’t.
Starburst Mirrors
The back of a bookcase is a great place for a small decorative round mirror – starburst mirrors are my favorite for this! In our home office I have {this starburst mirror} that is such a great pop against the black paint color:

I also have a starburst mirror as part of my art gallery wall on the other side of the room:
The mirror over the bed in our CT guest bedroom isn’t exactly a starburst mirror but it has a similar look. It’s {this beautiful round petal mirror} that’s a great size for the space:

Round Mirrors with Rope
Let’s wrap things up with round decorative mirrors with rope! We have a small round mirror with rope hanging to the left of our door from the kitchen to the garage that we go in and out of a zillion times a day. It’s a great spot for a quick mirror check as you run out the door:
