Removing all of the wallpaper and stubborn glue from our kitchen walls was one of the most painful jobs I’ve every tackled so don’t ask me why I’m thinking about wallpapering our powder room but I am. It’s not going to take many rolls of wallpaper because it’s a small space and there’s white tile that goes halfway up the wall. Schumacher or Phillip Jeffries wallpaper would be completely out of my budget for a bedroom or other typically sized room but for our powder room that needs such little paper? It may just be doable. These are a few of the best wallpapers if we’re talking about my if-price-doesn’t-matter favorites (post includes affiliate links – full disclosure statement available {here}:
Schumacher’s Asara Flower available {here}:

Schumacher
Schumacher’s Imperial Trellis (available {here}:

Schumacher
as used in {this glamorous bathroom} in New England Home magazine.
Designers Guild’s Sussex Wallpaper
as used in {this gorgeous powder room} by Andrea Schumacher Interiors. I also love Schumacher’s Chenonceau wallpaper (available {here}) wallpaper and Phillip Jeffries’ Moroccan Grasscloth (available {here}).
Update! I ended up saving a load of money and getting the look of wallpaper by using an inexpensive stencil! Check out the before and after pics and details of my stenciling project on my bathroom makeover post {here}!
What do you guys think?

your choice is my favorite too, but the RIO is a close second. Guess it depends on how busy you want the background. The RIO is could see with accents of Turquoise because it reminded me of a peacock feather. Your powder room walls will be beautiful!
Kris @ Driven by Décor says
Love that one too Carrie and it would be stunning with some turquoise accents!

We ‘killed’ ourselves, too with wallpaper removal…..14 years ago. I think I have finally recovered. I would love to wallpaper a powder room. I won’t be over the Final Rose show for even longer. He’s gross.

They are all so so pretty. I especially love the first one!

Love em all girl….I am in major wallpaper decision mode right now and I can not make a decision for the life of me!
Stacey {steward of design} says
Love them all! I’m on the fence of using wallpaper in my master or the powder room. Maybe I’ll do both! 😉
Jill Flory of Sew a Fine Seam says
Those would be lovely in a powder room! And just another option – you could create a few of those looks with a stencil and paint – stencils from Royal Design Studio are wonderful to use and they have a ton of options – if you contacted them about your project they might even give you a stencil too – email me if you want and i’ll give you my royal design contact’s name and email 🙂

The first Schumacher one gets me every time….and I never met and imperial trellis I didn’t love! We’ll be wallpapering our powder room in a few months. Can’t wait!
Simply LKJ says
Amazed by all the great wallpaper out nowadays. I so remember the days of having to remove the old awful stuff, so not sure I could do it again.
Stacey says
I adore all of these! Can’t wait to see what you choose!!

Oh my gosh, I think I’ve pinned all of those! I love the idea of being able to go all out in a powder room! I missed the final rose but didn’t even care, I wasn’t crazy about any of them!
Tracy Laverty says
I love your selection of wallpapers! I need this inspiration since I want to work on wallpapering our laundry room.

As I was scrolling, I was hoping for a Moroccan paper, I have been looking for one for my powder room. I believe I just found it!! Thanks,

Isn’t it great?! Haven’t gotten a price on it yet – I know it’s not cheap but hope it’s not obscenely expensive!
Kris @ Driven by Décor says
I totally get that Alicia!

Our entire house was wallpapered and we got it all off last year, so I feel your pain! Only put a bit back now but I LOVE it – it’s Farrow and Ball’s Lotus in our kitchen diner and it’s totally transformed the space. Looking forward to seeing what you go for!
Kris @ Driven by Décor says
Just looked that wallpaper up – so beautiful!! Thanks for sharing it – I didn’t even know that Farrow and Ball had wallpaper!

Hi Kris, Was having trouble commenting on your blog these past few days. Weird, but that’s me and technology 🙂 Have to comment on your previous post on elephants. Every time I read your posts, I think to myself how similar our tastes are or how alike we are in our thinking, but the elephant obsession takes it to a whole other level!! I love them and have them strewn about the house in bookcases, pillows, boxes, jewelry, a purse. I’ve had to do some rehab to avoid turning this home into a shrine to them. And of course, I like the last wallpaper the best. 🙂
Kris @ Driven by Décor says
OK, that IS totally crazy. Sooo when are you moving to Connecticut so we can hang out? 🙂

I love the high impact of graphic wallpaper in a powder room! A friend of mine used the first one (Schumacher’s Chenonceau) in her powder room and it looks amazing! I also love the last one (I mean seriously it’s grasscloth!!!) and of course, Imperial Trellis is da bomb. Can’t wait to see what you go with!!
Ashley @ The Honest Room says
Schumacher’s Asara Flower and Thibaut’s Maryse — these are so beautiful that I would almost consider wallpapering myself. Trying wallpaper out on your powder room would be a great way to break it in. I can’t wait to see what you decide.
Calypso In The Country says
I love them all but I think my favorites are the Schumacher Asara Flower and the Imperial Trellis!

Vel Criste says
I love them all but you know, I’m biased for the last one!!!;-)
