With summer on its way, I’d love to add some new color, texture, and style to my family room and I’m loving all of the tropical decor that I’m seeing in the new summer lines! You all know that I’m a neutral-loving girl at heart but I also like to mix in a little color and the tropical textures and punches of green work beautifully with the furniture and accessories that I already have.
Ready to see a few of my favorites? (post includes affiliate links – disclosure statement available {here}). I’ve always been a fan of rattan, but pair it with a palm frond pillow (both from Williams-Sonoma Home) and I’m totally head over heels:
These more subtle palm pillow designs from Anthropologie are beautiful too:
In the next few months I’m finally going to get to work on making over our master bedroom and I keep going back and forth about the colors that I want to bring into that space but this mix of neutrals with green palm bedding is definitely a contender:
This slightly more modern palm bedding from Pottery Barn is beautiful too, especially when it’s combined with the textures of the woven shades and nightstands:
And how cool are these tropical decoupage trays? They look very similar to John Derian’s trays but cost much less:
And for some even less expensive tropical decor, I’m loving the look of simple palm fronds in a vase, like in this over-the-top gorgeous space by Jana Bek Design:
What do you guys think? Are you loving the tropical look?
I do love it! In fact I am using the Tommy Bahama Swaying Palms fabric for pillows on my deck this year! And I am a HUGE fan of combining it with blue, the colors are so pretty together!
I love, love, love your new deck pillows! And you’ve got to have some kind of special occasion to justify splurging on one of these too, right?! 🙂
One word – absolutely!
we will be doing a little master bedroom makeover this summer and these are the colors i am using! love!
I’m looking forward to following along on that Cassie!!
This is right up my alley I am all about a touch of green somewhere! xo K
Yes! I’m loving it! I more than likely will be re-doing my piano room in these colors!
A piano room?! How fun would that be to decorate!
Yes! A fun but challenging room to decorate. I’ve got so many weird angles and windows in my old house, however, your post on your parents window treatments was helpful! You’ll have to share some more photos of their home!
I’m always attracted to rattan and bamboo…add a little texture, little blue and a palm leaf…perfect!
The perfect combo, right?!
Loving the mix of Blue and Green right now!! I am not usually a green lover -for anything- but I am really liking it this year. I am working on a few projects with Navy and Citron green …. baby boy nursery that will be on point. Thank you for your inspirational pictures and helping me to love green
Darlene
A navy and citron green nursery sounds just darling! Glad I’m swaying you over to the green side 🙂
I’m right there with you! Love your inspiration images. It’s almost as if navy and green are neutrals come summer.
I love these colors and patterns together. That palm print seems to be very popular this year. I think it will pair nicely with rattan.
Beautiful inspiration, I love the more yellow/greens citron, chartreuse, or dare I say avocado! 🙂
I am loving this tropical print. It is perfect for summer! I’m planning on adding some printed pillows to freshen up my living room.

Love love love all of the tropical prints!!
WS Home had an event last night in Union Square and I met there merchandiser….and saw the green mixed with the navy. So pretty.
Loving these decor pieces. I am a big fan of palm tree leaves, they remind me of distant days in Florida, good weather and some fabulous times on the beach. Thank you for sharing these fab pieces! 🙂
Where can I find the green plam frond pilllow ? You note it is from Wiliams Sonoma home but I cannot find it on the website.
